The short version: we do not collect data.
- Our paid games without ads have no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts. They do not send your play data to us.
- This website has no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no cookies set by us.
- Free games that show ads work differently and have their own, longer policy. See the section on free games below.

Who we are
AppSir Games makes retro horror games for iPhone, iPad, Android and PC. This page covers two things: this website, and our paid games that have no ads.
Questions about any of this can go to hello@appsirgames.com.
This website
What we collect
Nothing, on our own. There are no accounts, no forms that send data to us, no ads, no analytics and no cookies set by this site.
What other companies receive when you visit
- GitHub. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads and may keep logs. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- Google Fonts. The text fonts load from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
- YouTube. Game pages embed trailers using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video player loads from YouTube, so YouTube receives your IP address. Its own policy applies if you press play.
What stays on your device
- Visit counter. The hit counter on the home page is kept in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data resets it.
Guestbook and email
The guestbook form does not send anything to us by itself. It opens your email app with your message filled in. Nothing reaches us until you press send there. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. We use them to reply and we keep them as long as we need to help you.
Links to other sites
This site links to the App Store, Google Play, appsirgames.com, social media and a few friendly sites in the webring. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
Paid games with no ads
These rules apply to our paid games that have no ads, such as Cursed Game Dev Simulator.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts.
- Your play data is not sent to servers we run. Your progress is stored on your device.
- We never see your payment details. The purchase goes through the app store you bought the game from.
Cursed Game Dev Simulator (iPhone and iPad)
- On your device. Your progress, settings and unlocked skins are saved on your device so you can keep playing.
- iCloud (optional). If you are signed in to iCloud, your progress is also saved to your own iCloud account so you can continue on your other devices. Apple stores it and we cannot see it. You can turn this off for the game in the iOS Settings app, or remove the saved data in your iCloud storage settings.
- Game Center (optional). If you are signed in to Game Center, your final score and your achievements are sent to Game Center. Your Game Center name and score are visible to other players. Apple's privacy policy covers Game Center. You can sign out in iOS Settings at any time and the game still works.
- Share cards. The game can make a share card image. It is saved to your photos only if you choose Save Image in the iOS share sheet. If you share it to another app, that app's policy applies.
- Your device clock. The game uses your device's date and time, for example for the in-game calendar. This stays on your device.
- Links out of the game. Settings has links to the App Store, our Discord server and our other games. Those open outside the game and follow their own policies.
Apple's own privacy policy covers iCloud and Game Center: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Free games with ads
Games that show ads use advertising services that collect device data, so they need a longer policy. It is on our main site: appsirgames.com/p/privacy-policy.html. That policy also covers the AppSir Games newsletter.
Children
Our paid games and this website collect no personal information from anyone, including children. Our games have horror themes, so check the age rating on the App Store before you download. If a child emailed us and a parent or guardian wants the message deleted, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
The website and our paid games do not collect or keep personal data about you, so there is nothing of yours for us to export or delete, other than emails you have sent us. To have an email conversation deleted, write to hello@appsirgames.com.
Data held by Apple, Google, GitHub or YouTube is held under their policies, so requests about that data go to them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the bottom. If a paid game ever starts to collect data it does not collect today, this page will say so before that version is released.
